we live in a real world with real people, who experience real pain, real frustration and real suffering. none of that fashionable depression crap, with its attendant trappings like strategic body piercings, runny mascara and pre-pubescent pseudo-romantic whining. we're talking about people who live on the real fringes of society, for whom reality is ofen filtered through the haze of alcohol and drugs, for whom tomorrow may never come, and for whom "hope" is a four-letter word.

we've got to change that. even if it means cleaning our world up one person at a time.
