Esmond Wee

Age: 23 in 2004
Birth: sometime, somewhere in 1981

Esmond sings lead for Vertical Rush. He has finally gotten out of the SAF and is trying to adjust to the working world. He graduated with a Diploma in Mass Communication at Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 2001 and intends to pursue a degree in New Media in Toronto, after saving enough up enough money through work. He finally got attached last year and seems pretty happy.

Esmond loves to design and doodle when he's bored and once had a childhood ambition of working for Marvel Comics. When he's out of creative juice he enjoys playing a little 3-on-3 despite being vertically challenged. Lately, he's been working with a friend offering design services on a freelance basis. Nicholas Chim

Age : 20 in 2004

Nick is currently serving National Slavery in the Field Defence Squadron of Paya Lebar Airbase. He knows that his job is just a high class version of a security guard. Camp's a bitch, but he still magically comes up with new tunes to soothe your ears. Nick is the only JC kid in the band. He attended Pioneer Junior College for two years and used to be a jock; being part of the school's Rugby team. He needs to downgrade, can anybody help him? :). He still aims to get a major in zoology somewhere in the world, because the local university won't take him in. But before that, he intends to intern in the Singapore Zoological Gardens, cleaning elephant poo to build up his character.

He has been writing songs and playing guitar since the age of thirteen. He spends his free time at his computer, xbox and tv or just lying on his bed dreaming up the next VR song.
Nick listens to a lot of further seems forever, hopesfall, dashboard confessional, deftones and just started getting hooked to bandwagon and whence he came.

Ian Benedict Ortega

Age: 19
DoB: 12 May 1983

Ian has been doing some part time work since coming out of the army, while waiting to fly off to Australia in the later part of the year to pursue his degree studies. People who are close to him call him the "Tagalog Stallion", because of his Filipino heritage and his affinity to PYT's. He plays the lead guitar in the band and is the most mainstream among the band members.

He listens to a wide genre of music such as Jamiroquai, Jimmy eat world, Goo goo dolls, Third Eye Blind just to name a few. Secretly, he also digs stuff from Another LateNight, Janet Jackson, Usher, Urban Xchange, Nerd and sometimes tends to be a retro junkie.

Oh and he has just started to come up with his own material of songs but still has a phobia of singing... When he's not doing anything, ian's pretty active in sports. soccer being his favourite. but due to his back injury, he cant do it so often anymore. He also has a thing for racing.

He plans on studying in the US. He is still undecided on whether to take up film or banking & finance in university.

Shaun Selvaraj Draviam Samuel

Race: Indian
Instrument: Bass guitar

Shaun just graduated with a Diploma in Chemical Engineering at Ngee Ann Polytechnic and is currently serving his nation as a Mechanic with the Singapore Armed Forces.

Whenever his busy schedule permits you can find him playing lots of soccer, listening to music and of course playing his bass.

Shaun says lots of crazy things, but one of the few that make sense is his favourite quote, "Perfection is the child of time" in which he steals from Joseph Hall.

Daren Goh

Daren believes he is an oddball, and that he has no idea whatsoever how to play the drums. Anyone who wants to give him lessons, please give him a call.

Other than that, daren's just your regular guy. God bless.

Oh yah, he thinks VR's music is most DEFINITELY cheesy, yet he has no idea why he enjoys playing them.
